A series of short films directed and shot by me. These films showcase people living in traditional Japanese retro-style buildings deep in the mountains, away from modern society. They showcase the making of traditional cuisine and handicrafts.
Japanese ancient architecture has narrow space, special structure, and every detail has its cultural significance.
Long-term shooting here has allowed me to accumulate a lot of unique experience in set design, composition, and lighting. I can preserve the realism of the scene while achieving textured visuals within the limited space.
